Just today I got a quote stuck in my head from a fellow blogger's website headline/title (hi @rowanblaze ! Visit him at http://ihavetouchedthesky.blogspot.com/) and that led me to wonder why people quote other people's words. (In fact, his headline was a quote he pulled from a television show, I believe).
I can't answer that question for anyone else but me, but I do know that whatever the reason, sometimes someone else's words do a damn sight better job of explaining than my own does.
Some quotes have become well known and popular over the years and below I've listed a few...see if you can remember where/who these quotes are from!
1)My imagination makes me human and makes me a fool; it gives me all the world and exiles me from it.
2)It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.
3)Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
4)Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
5)Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
